Sue Lowden is not Sarah Palin 11/20/2009

The hysterics and theatrics from the left over Sarah Palin’s book tour have reached levels even I couldn’t have predicted. Mrs Palin has the ability to just drive the lefties completely nuts.

Save your money; wait for it at the library
She may not be top-ticket caliber to the political class of either party, but you’d be making a major mistake in dismissing her or her star power.
Lefties thought Reagan & Eisenhower were idiots too.
This disdain is for one reason and one reason only: They believe Sarah Palin does not conform to the Hillary Clinton model of how women are to conduct themselves publicly; they loathe her star power and feel it is undeserved.
I guess that means Hillary telling us in 1992 that she ‘wasn’t some Tammy Wynette standing by her man’, and then becoming Squeaky Fromme by enabling her sexual predator husband while declaring ‘a vast, right-wing conspiracy’, is the proper role model.
I still believe that Hillary Clinton would have been elected president in 2008 had she, if not thrown him out for a few weeks, just jetted herself off to Barbados, or something to cool off for a while.
There’s not a woman in America who would have blamed her, she wouldn’t be viewed as Bill’s lifelong enabler today, and she’d be the President of the United States.
She proved herself to be an anti-feminist with her own conduct, but all is forgiven today on the left.
Dem women do not have the ability to hold Sarah Palin to the same standard, or lack thereof, and this is primarily an issue between women and how they view each other.
Sarah Palin is a good looking woman—clearly in the MILF category to millions—a mother of five, possessing no internal edit button, or depth in any particular subject matter and that doesn’t matter to her supporters. She comes off as a regular person to them; there is very strong cache in that (again, ask Reagan or Eisenhower), so the women on the left have just cranked up their derision even further.
Part of her appeal is that she looks, acts, and talks like a regular ‘chick’. You’re looking at the product of America’s educational system too; there are tens of millions out there just like Sarah!
The lefties have made a mistake in assessing her current book and missed who and what she was aiming directly at within it: the religious, conservative right of the GOP.
The book keeps on returning to faith matters issues and it is the dominate theme throughout the tome. As a woman who chose life in bringing into the world a special needs child, she’s solidified her social conservative base for the rest of her life with the book.
However, that still doesn’t mean she’s presidential material-she’s not; she’d be a better fit in the House or Senate, or raising oodles of money for the GOP.
But the lefties have stepped off the left cliff and made a mistake here in Nevada by comparing Sarah Palin to Republican US Senate candidate, Sue Lowden.
The only similarity I see is that both are media creatures—very aware of how they are perceived through the camera lens and in public; that’s no vice at all—both were local television news stars that solidified their respective home bases via peoples’ living rooms each night.
In our personality and celebrity driven culture, that is superior street cred to be carrying. We’ll forgive just about anything if we’ve decided we like to see you on television.
I wonder if Nevada’s Oracles of Journalistic Ethics, Jon Ralston and Steve Freiss, will preface everything they write or say about Lowden with, ‘Lowden was formerly employed at KLAS-TV…’.
Don’t bet on that, but Mrs Lowden will be forced by the lefty media here to answer for all Republicans past, present, and future, although at least Sarah Palin’s father is supporting rival Danny Tarkanian.
The bias will be as clear as day and will drive GOP women and a substantial Dem female crossover to Lowden in the general election. The more the lefty media mistreats Lowden, the more votes she will earn.
You’re a wise person if you don’t do anything to antagonize women in either party.
Mrs Lowden has ran a business, graduated a college we’ve heard of; yes, she did place 2nd in a pageant too, she ran a state-wide party, knows all of the players on both political teams and across the business world here, most personally, and has a collegial relationship with most of them.
When I first met her, I was dogged-determined all night to see her use her good looks for affect, like playfully tossing her hair, or running her fingers through it. That type of hyper-sexualized conduct occurs all the time in the business world by women not confident that they belong where they are.
To my initial disappointment; I’ve yet to see her do that! That tells me she is a competent, secure woman of some level of accomplishment who may be very media-aware that she is a good-looking person, but who needn’t keep reminding herself that she has value.
Plus, Sue Lowden is familiar with the letter ‘g’ and its use with verbs ending in ‘ing’.
Is Sue Lowden the ultimate western-state feminist?
Well, yes, I think she is. Just because she’s from the other side doesn’t diminish that she is wife, mother, grandmother, businesswoman, political person, and candidate, and above all else, her own woman.
That was at one time, feminism’s ultimate goal.
She is an anti-Hillary in that respect and is an example of what feminism tried to be before being hijacked by strident, militant lesbian-feminists about three decades ago.
Nevada’s first woman in federal office was Republican Congresswoman Barbara Vucanovich from 1983-1997. One of the things Nevada is a leader in the nation in is women in public office; we have a sterling record in that regard from both parties.
So, it’s appropriate that our state’s first woman US Senator may very well be Republican Sue Lowden who is currently leading Senator Harry Reid by double digits.
With less than a year to go, it’s Sue Lowden’s race to lose.
